Session-Based Strategies
Each forex session has unique characteristics that favor specific strategies. Using the right strategy at the right time dramatically improves your win rate.
Strategy Per Session
1. Asian Session Strategy (5:00 AM - 1:00 PM BD)
Strategy: Range Trading + Level Marking
- Market consolidates (low volatility)
- Trade bounces within the range (advanced only)
- PRIMARY USE: Mark levels for London
- Mark Asian H/L for later sweep
- Identify key S/R for the day
- NOT recommended for active trading (for BD pairs)
2. London Session Strategy (1:00 PM - 10:00 PM BD)
Strategy: Breakout + Sweep Reversal
- Wait for Asian Range sweep (first 30-60 min)
- Trade the reversal after the manipulation
- Trend initiation — ride the directional move
- Best window: 2:00 - 5:00 PM BD
- Highest success rate for SMC setups
3. New York Session Strategy (6:00 PM - 3:00 AM BD)
Strategy: Continuation OR Reversal
- If London move is strong → trade continuation
- If London overextended → trade NY reversal
- High-impact US news creates opportunities
- Best window: 7:00 - 10:00 PM BD
4. Overlap Strategy (6:00 - 10:00 PM BD)
Strategy: Maximum Volatility Trades
- London + NY overlap = highest volume
- Strongest moves of the day
- Trade in direction of London's established trend
- OR trade reversals if London is exhausted
