ICT Weekly Profiles
Master ICT Weekly Profiles — understand how each day of the week has a unique character and how to use weekly templates for bias determination and trade planning.
What are Weekly Profiles?
Weekly Profiles describe the typical behavior pattern of each day within a trading week. ICT teaches that the algorithm follows predictable weekly cycles — certain days tend to create manipulation while others create expansion.
Understanding weekly profiles gives you a roadmap before the week starts. You know WHICH days to trade aggressively and which to sit out.
Day-by-Day Profiles
Monday — The Accumulation Day
- Creates the week's initial range
- Often low-volatility, consolidation
- Price may probe one direction's liquidity
- Action: Mark Monday's range (high/low) — this is the week's "Asian range"
Tuesday — The Judas Day
- The weekly manipulation day
- Often creates the week's high OR low (the false move)
- Retail traders get trapped on the wrong side
- Action: Watch for reversal setups, especially if Monday was range-bound
Wednesday — The Expansion Day
- Highest probability expansion day of the week
- If Tuesday created the manipulation, Wednesday distributes
- Largest daily range often occurs on Wednesday
- Action: Trade aggressively with bias — best day for R:R
Thursday — The Continuation/Reversal Day
- Can continue Wednesday's direction or start reversal
- If weekly target hit on Wednesday, Thursday may reverse
- If not hit yet, Thursday continues
- Action: Manage open positions or take continuation trades
Friday — The Profit-Taking Day
- Institutions close positions before weekend
- Reduced reliability on setups
- Can see reversals as profits are taken
- Action: Reduce risk, close positions, avoid new entries after 12 PM EST

Template 2: Tuesday Reversal Week
- Monday ranges
- Tuesday creates weekly LOW (Judas swing down)
- Wednesday-Thursday rally to weekly HIGH
- Friday consolidates
Template 3: Wednesday Reversal Week
- Monday-Tuesday trend in one direction
- Wednesday creates the extreme and reverses
- Thursday-Friday deliver the opposite direction
Real Example: EUR/USD Week
- Monday: Opens 1.0900, ranges 1.0890-1.0915 (accumulation)
- Tuesday: Drops to 1.0870 sweeping SSL (manipulation down)
- Tuesday PM: MSS bullish on 4H at 1.0880
- Wednesday: Expansion — rallies to 1.0960 (weekly target BSL)
- Thursday: Retraces to 1.0930, holds
- Friday: Closes at 1.0945
Key Learning: Tuesday's low WAS the entry. Wednesday delivered the reward.
Common Mistakes
❌ Trading Monday aggressively — Monday is for observation, not execution
❌ Following Tuesday's direction — Tuesday CREATES the trap. Don't fall for it
❌ Ignoring Friday risk — Reduced liquidity + profit-taking = unreliable signals
❌ Not marking weekly levels — PWH/PWL, Monday range are critical references
