Weekly Bias
Master Weekly Bias — the higher timeframe directional bias that guides your daily and intraday trading decisions throughout the week.
Definition
Weekly Bias is your directional expectation for the current trading week based on monthly/weekly structure, major liquidity levels, and institutional order flow. It's the HTF compass that filters your daily bias and ensures alignment with the broader trend.
Why It Matters
- Weekly bias provides the macro direction
- Daily bias should align with weekly bias
- Prevents counter-trend trading
- Identifies which weekly high/low will likely be taken
Determining Weekly Bias
Set on Sunday evening or Monday pre-market:
- Monthly/Weekly Chart: Structure bullish or bearish?
- Previous Week: Strong or weak close?
- Key Levels: Premium/discount relative to weekly range?
- Major Liquidity: Which weekly high/low needs targeting?
- Fundamentals: Any major events this week?
Trading Application
- Bullish Weekly: Look for bullish daily bias Mon-Fri
- Bearish Weekly: Look for bearish daily bias Mon-Fri
- Weekly High/Low: Expect one to be swept early week, other targeted later
Weekly bias rarely changes mid-week unless major fundamental shift.
Example
Sunday: Weekly closed strong, in discount, monthly bullish, previous week high at 1.0980 untouched → Bullish Weekly Bias → Seek bullish daily bias all week, target 1.0980+
